.... About The artist ....=]

At the age of four all I could honestly remember is me shouting and running around my house like a nut case. I used to love that theme song from a cartoon named Arthur. It was such a catchy reggae beat. I would sing that theme song all day I knew it by heart “And I say hey, hey what a wonderful kind of day.” Oh! How I loved that theme song (scholastic). Now that I happen to be a bit older I realized how educational and productive the cartoon was in my life .Thanks to Marc Brown the creator of the cartoon who is a man that highlights family values in every one of his  episodes.
Marc brown`s work is truly based on family values he happened to be telling his oldest son a bed time story when he came up with the idea of writing a children story. Mr. Brown accepted his son’s ideas now a days  his oldest son Tolon has been is his assistant producer.
Marc brown was born on November 25,1946 when he was growing up with he’s three sisters up near Erie, Pennsylvania their grandmother Thora told  the most wonderful stories  he had dreamed that he will grow up telling stories of his own. On night he read a story to his son and It was about an aardvark who hated his nose and the aardvark of course was named Arthur and the story became authors nose this was the first book in the Authors adventure series and out of the series it started to grow and he has a serious of books based on Arthurs little sister, D.W. Most of the article in mr.Browns books are modeled after one person or a combination of people from his life many characters were inspired by people he knew when he was growing up and going to school in Millcreek. Pennsylvania Mr. Ratburn is based on the "meanest algebra teacher ever," and Grandma Thora is based on Brown's real grandmother Thora, "the best storyteller ever." Says Brown, "Buster is modeled after his best friend in elementary school, Terry Johnson, who was a real practical joker. Terry spent a lot of time in the principal's office. In third grade, he spent a lot of time watching a girl named Patricia Del Porto instead of doing his math. She had curly hair and long eyelashes. On Valentine's Day, he remembers waiting to get a valentine from her. She is, of course, Sue Ellen, and that's where he got the idea for Arthur's Valentine. His sisters, Bonnie, Colleen, and Kimberly have all served as role models for characters in his books--especially D.W. and Francine. Mark brown loves what he does and he also puts he’s kids name in some of he’s book.
Marc brown show “Arthur” has been very popular through out the year and this is a good but also it affects people life because he’s show are so imaginary and kids seem to want to do everything they see on the show and they have a very big imagination but this show is also very education it tells kids from right to wrong. kids have learned not to do bad things but to do good. Many kids enjoy watching all he’s shows and reading he’s stories still today many teachers read mark browns books to their students.
Marc brown started writing the books about his show “Author” because he got fired or his other jobs were not working he was a truck driver but he kept getting lost. He also  was a short order cook but he didn’t know what the phrase “catch a fish, hit it with rye and put a pair of shoes on it meant he was also a T.V director and he was  fired because he wanted to put a weather woman on a swing during the  six o’clock news and she would be dressed as a fairy but they didn’t  accept that he also thought at a college that had been in business for 106 years and when he started it closed and then one night his son Tolon asked him to tell him a story about a weird animal and  he was thinking alphabetically so he choose aardvark and now his son Tolon works with him and helps him with the television show he is his assistant producer.
Marc brown got his ideas from his life and problems that he and his kids have had from that past to make his episodes. This T.V show in Boston and a lot of writers live in New York and California the production happens in Boston and the animation happens in Montreal, Canada and some parts in the Far East hundreds of people work on the show. Marc brown is currently illustrated a book by Judy Sierra named “Wild About books”.
The reason I choose to write about Marc Brown was because this show “Author” reminds me of my childhood this helped me share with other people in my first day of school and also helped me with many other thing like right from wrong. It helped me grow and learn how to deal with situations at a very young age. I choose this artist when I was hanging out with my cousins and they started specking about the cartoon show “Arthur” and then I came up with the brilliant idea to do Marc Brown as my artist because he has been one of my favorites for years.
